Proteomics is a powerful technique that has great power to unlock multiple phases of the drug development process.  However, it is also a complex procedure that requires considerable expertise to master. Through our proteomics solutions, we work with you to apply our proteomics expertise to meet your objectives.

In-house Technologies

We do not limit ourselves to protocols and analytical methods used by others. We have a range of proprietary and patented methods developed in-house for improved analytical performance and unique outputs. Together these comprise the ProQuant® proteomics platform.

Comprehensive Proteomics Insights

Targeted proteomics from major platform providers wholly or predominantly focus on protein abundance, overlooking the dynamic nature of the proteome which is shaped not just by DNA-encoded proteins, but by mRNA and post-translational modifications (both regulated and incidental) that define true biological complexity.

With ProQuant® we can optimise for depth of protein coverage, detecting and providing measurements of >6000 proteins in tissues. Alternatively, we can focus on investigating proteoform-level features, potentially revealing thousands of endogenous PTMs.

Applications of Proteomics

Using the ProQuant® platform, we deliver high-performance, tailored proteomics for drug development, with a wide range of applications.

Biomarker Identification

We measure total proteins, specific PTMs, subtle patterns of PTMs, and endogenous protein cleavages to maximise the chance of identifying biomarkers missed by conventional abundance-only approaches.

Chemoproteomics

The original patent-protected ProQuant® method was designed to detect and quantify protein modifications, making it ideal for identifying and characterising covalent drug interactions at specific amino acid sites.

 

Characterising ProTACs

Using ProQuant®, we can monitor both on- and off-target protein degradation by PROTACs, helping characterise their selectivity and mechanism of action.

Quantifying protease activity

ProQuant® can identify and quantify peptides generated from endogenous proteases, enabling us to estimate protease activity in vitro and in vivo – something that’s challenging to achieve with other technologies.

Biologics CMC

We offer exceptional PTM quantification, including measurement of isoaspartic formation in complex mixtures such as plasma or tissues, a capability we have found no published precedent for.

Biologics development

The ProQuant® platform enables tracking of PTMs on biological drugs post-dosing, revealing effects on PK, activity, and anti-drug antibody formation.

Characterisation of labels

Many techniques depend on labelling proteins covalently, Using the ProQuant® platform we can rapidly visualise the locations of labels and site occupancy, with exceptional precision and accuracy.
