We are currently looking to recruit a LC-MS/MS scientist to expand our department based at the beautiful Babraham Research Campus. This is an exciting time to join our team as we scale up to support our growing global footprint and client base. The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time LC-MS/MS scientist to broaden their experience in an expanding bioanalysis department that operates in both a research and GxP environment and is equipped with the latest Waters Xevo TQ-XS mass spectrometer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate novel quantitative methods for small molecule, protein, and peptide analysis using LC-MS/MS techniques.
  • Involved in routine sample analysis of a variety of matrices and tissue for both regulated and non-regulated studies, using a range of sample preparation techniques.
  • Support the day to day running of the lab and the business.
  • Be involved in the preparation of plans and reports.


  • A graduate or PhD with ideally 2 year’s practical experience with LC-MS/MS. 
  • Experience in developing novel analytical methods.
  • Experience with peptide and protein mass spectrometry is desirable. 
  • A positive attitude and an inquisitive nature.
  • Ability to multitask and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to review and assimilate new information rapidly and effectively.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with a track record of performing experiments with minimal supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail in experimental report writing.
  • Strong communication skills, with proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent level of computer literacy.
