Head of Bioanalysis/GLP Study Director (LC-MS/MS)

RxCelerate currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bioanalysis Manager/Study Director to lead our Bioanalytical Team. The team supports projects from research to the clinic across a range of therapeutic modalities, developing and validating methods for small molecules, proteins, antibodies, metabolites and endogenous biomolecules.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Chemistry, the successful candidate will be required to manage the LCMS facility at RxCelerate. In addition they will be expected to act as Study Director for GLP studies, perform direct bioanalytical studies and manage and develop junior bioanalysts. Responsibilities include:

  • Project management from initial concept through all development stages to completion including liasing with clients
  • Preparation of quotations, plans and reports
  • Performing quantitative analysis using LC-MS/MS
  • Developing and Validating novel LC-MS/MS methods
  • Writing and developing SOPs
  • Supporting the expansion of the business of the bioanalytical team
  • Facilitating RxCelerate in implementing and managing the principles of GxP

This full-time role is based at the Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge, UK

Skills/Requirements

  • An analytical chemistry background including practical method development and validation experience
  • Familiarisation of working with a triple quad mass spectrometer running MassLynx software desirable
  • Previous experience as a GxP Study Director in an analytical setting is essential
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of GxP regulations
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organisational skills.
