The RxCelerate group provides a platform for out-sourced drug discovery and development services and has a client-base ranging from virtual biotech companies to some of the top 15 global pharmaceutical companies.

We design and deliver complete drug development programs and project management for our clients from inception through to Phase II clinical studies.

We are currently looking to recruit a Compound Manager to support our biology and chemistry teams in our new building on the Babraham Research Campus. This is an exciting time to join our team as we scale up to support our growing global footprint and client base. The Role

The Compound Manager will take responsibility for the management of the small molecule compound collection at RxCelerate. The ability to prioritise work and deliver within a dynamic and demanding scientific environment to meet challenging deadlines is essential.

Main Responsibilities

Managing the ordering of small molecules for all projects in the portfolio.
Ensuring that appropriate QC data is collected and stored for all compounds.
Managing the delivery of small molecules in the appropriate format (this may include some formulation) to the in vitro and in vivo biology teams and external contractors.
Maintenance of compound inventories on a per project basis.
Ensuring biology data associated with compounds is appropriately stored.

Skills/Requirements

A degree in organic chemistry or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisational skills and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience of working with a range of chemical databases would be an advantage.

This is a full-time role, although applications from exceptionally qualified individuals looking for a part- time role will be considered. The role will be based on the Babraham Research Campus, but occasional travel to other RxCelerate sites may be required.
